Couldn't connect to Server glitch is going a little too far

Post Couldn't connect to Server glitch is going a little too far
So I have been getting the "Couldn't connect to server" message connecting to online mode and i read the FAQ(glad its there) on it and i've already redownloaded it a few times now and its been giving this same message for a few days now.

Anyone have a clue if the servers are down and its not just me, or is my setup acting stupid. (or me, not sure)

I actually have that same problem on my school managed laptop.

Today it'd be bc someone DDOS'd the server so it's completely down
