Just curious. When do we get the next character reveal(s)?

Are we going to have something similar to SSC 2016 where there's 3 characters revealed every year or are we just going to find out when the full game releases?

Out of 29 pages no one seriously (maybe once but I think they were just naming FE characters and not seriously suggesting them) suggested Lucina. I want her to be playable for very practical reasons. I would very much like to try a Marth without tipper in melee like form. I'm guessing there're other people like me that play Marth but would like to try him without the tipper concept in SSF2.

I doubt we'll get a Lucina expy tbh.If we get any FE character that wasn't in smash it'll probably be Tiki or something.
Lyn would also be kind of a waste as a Marth clone imo.

How about Buizel, since it's clearly the best Pokémon?
(Well, maybe it'd end up a Tails semi-clone, doesn't have to, but this isn't a Smash game without at least one semi-clone newcomer right?)

What about characters from platform fighters that aren't Smash? Orcane could be fun, I might have some actual success playing as him in SSF2's engine. (Before you say he hasn't been on a Nintendo console, he was in Dungeon Hearts DX on Wii U. Crossovers count, right? They could alternatively use Vaporeon if that fits better, though.)

Maxwell could be a "practical" choice in the same way Sandbag was a practical choice. Why? If they animate him like he does in his own games, by moving around his body parts via Flash animation rather than using numerous separate sprites for each animation, they could make him work with a minimal quantity of sprites. ...It'd probably look really silly, actually, ahaha, but it'd be accurate...

Boggy B from Worms could be an interesting pick if they can balance him right. Really strong projectiles, but a high chance of destroying himself if his aim is bad (or his opponent is good at perfect shielding,) and very poor mobility...


Theoretically, they could do what Crusade does and have an option for Marth to have Lucina's hitboxes, selectable on the CSS. I'm not sure if they'd want to imitate that, but it's an option.

Also it would be nice if someone could do a mockup with the first Andy pic on the CSS (Character Select Screen) and then his other one in battle.

I'd love if Toon Link were added. He is real good for my playstyle, and it wouldn't be too hard of a transition from Link to Toon Link.
