Changing the topic I must say I love chain grabbing people. I feel very accomplished when I pull it off online because it is quite easy for my opponents to escape and if they are a light character then I can't chain grab them at all.

Dolphin Slash is comparable to other combo breakers in this game, so I don't see why it's super good. It's punishable on hit if you don't hit with the initial strike, and the startup and priority are comparable to other moves.

Wow what. Besides being a great combo breaker its also an easy kill move. The start up may be fine but the entire move is over in a split second. The priority may be comparable to other combo breaker moves (and dare I say possibly better) but the range and overall speed is absolutely insane, on top of being a huge disjoint. On top of that you can easily spam the move with very little risk on stages with platforms, and for most characters the move is hard to punish regardless.

I'll be honest, I don't have respect for chain grabbers. After watching one video of Ice Climbers only going for, and winning matches, by chain grabbing, I haven't respected it since. If it doesn't go beyond 3 throws though it's not a big deal to me, but if it takes you from 0-70 then this game is just another grab2win and isn't an original project at all.

Marth's playstyle has been based around chain-throws and around two reps, they start doing 1-2% each. And here, his chain-throws become capable with DI after 20%.

IT's easy to get a computer to go to about 50-70% with it, but players will resist it after 3 throws, thus making it a less frustrating thing to have.

Marth doesn't really have chaingrabs (DK and Fox maybe) on most of the cast if you DI away.

Personally, I don't have a problem with chaingrabs that don't break the meta. I think the real problem is combos that remove defensive input. One of my favorite things about Smash in general is DI and teching, which makes each combo different and stops it from being "get a cup of coffee while I execute button combination #45". Things like Marth's chaingrab on Fox still have defensive input, as do tech chase regrabs and DI traps, both of which Marth has.

Speaking of DI traps, does anyone mixup fthrow and bthrow to get regrabs or tippers?

I haven't done it online, since Marth is my joke character, but I have done it in training mode.

In an offline match, I once did only bthrow and dthrow. I conditioned my opponent to instinctively DI away, and then when he got on his last stock at decent percent I used fthrow. He DI'd in, using the same DI he had been all game, and I got a tipper fsmash to end the game.

I don't think Dancing Blade is that good. It's just fast, which mean scrubs will keep going for it. I fought quite a few Marths that do nothing by Sspecial. Just wait outside his range, and punish the openings. You might be able to shield bait it too.

Dolphin Slash just needs actually landing lag when he goes into helpless free-fall.

Dolphin slash is the only attack I've encountered so far that breaks my Tails' jab combo.

Does anyone know if Dolphin Slash is transcendent?

It's very high priority but there's just a couple things that beat it if timed JUST right.

Final Cutter was one of those things, but to be fair i kinda used it over his head so im not sure if maybe my hitbox hit him before the sowrd did maybe?
