I didn't make out of pools.

What happened was they were going to do double elimination brackets

However, they changed it to pools where you get a point depending on the set. My friend beat me one set, it was 2-1. I face two of my friends with me both having a 2-0 over them. However, two of my friends have the same number of points as me so they had one more match and got more points then me, knocking me out of the finals bracket. It was top two advance. The people who were working said over 60 people signed up, but only 26 came and participated. It was such crap, but I had fun.

Tournaments are really hit-or-miss from what I've experienced. I host a weekly tournament at my local game store every thursday night and some nights there's only about 8 people, others there's 20+. The best I've done was 4th place, and I've been practicing the game every day since launch. I'm to the point where I can win consistently as any character, but I'm really hoping I can get good enough to at least be decent in bigger tournaments.

I don't own the game so I have to wait until one of my friends brings in it for us to play. Also I didn't touch the game since last week so that's another problem.

Most of the bad people were lucky enough to make it to top 8 due to them being in a pool with people worse than them or not fighting the better players.

I feel so empty inside now.

Try to spread the word about the poll, he needs as much results as he can!

I didn't realize Namco had become a series.

What are the results for?

to be honest it's frustrating when the tournament holders don't really tell the players what's happening until the last minute
the one i attended literally had the people holding it sitting there deciding the ruleset and frankly they didn't have the slightest f*** clue what they were doing
"turn items on, because it's for fun, who cares if people say 'oh it has to be 1v1 no items'"
are you serious

Yeah that's bull, If you're gonna hold a tournament, know what you're doing. Did you go through with it?

yup, items were on throughout the entire tournament
in the final round i used a smash ball and wind bellows.

i would have won anyways (not to sound c***) but what if i was a terrible player and got lucky from those items?

I still want some kind of confirmation that poor people with no Wii U can still buy him off the eShop.

I wonder how his move set will be? Will they keep the old one or make changes? I hope we get some gameplay footage of him.

It's been confirmed by their twitter. I think the UK Twitter to be exact, then there's also the DLC Shop found in code.

I hope it's the Melee moveset with a different Up-B.
