Agreed. They don't grab, they don't dodge at the right times, and they don't even punish. I don't know if it's out of "honor" or what, but that's just not smart.

If anything, they should want to fight you more to learn how to play. Your body gets stronger through pain, and whatnot, so your skill in Smash should get better through losses. Do your friends change their tactics at all when they're playing with you?

quite honestly rosalina is OP, but hearing they don't dodge correctly/grab probably pushes the idea that it's them being the worse player, not you playing an OP character

rosalina might be better than a fair portion (or all) of the cast but she's definitely not "pick to win" like meta knight



if you really want to prove they need to git gud though, start maining ike and winning 1v1s

Yeah its hard adjusting to a character you hardly play against, but if you read their moves right while looking at smash4 matches then you might be able to do well.

The only thing I've really seen them improve on is how they return to the stage. They've adjusted to edgeguarding somewhat, but otherwise it's the same deal. And only one of the three (Friend B) actually wants to try and beat her, which is probably why he has the best results. He's learned to either jump or air dodge when I do down-throw + f-air.


Might try that actually. (But if I were to win with Mega Man...there's no hope.)


I feel like what really kills all of them is tournament rules. I've noticed that once no items are around (I don't like items but they insist sometimes), it's like they shut down or something. And then, Gravitational Pull screws them when they do appear.

some people want to (like myself) since it's easier than entering the game with two characters, hearing the conversation, exiting, and re-entering 40+ times
