I don't get how they reveal this stuff. Why do one update, then shortly after, finish the update? I mean, I see someone coming along and quoting this, saying "That's just like saying why don't they reveal everything immediately instead of updating over development." It's just kind of strange that they'd make an unfinished update.

It's just fun, man. Made me giggle like an idiot. And besides, what alternative is there, really? A combo? That'd be boring as hell, man. And Sly's invisibility comes with his block, not his run. A very unique mechanic, I think. Kinda makes me think that a Sly player who's really skilled with that ability could easily thrash a majority of his competition.

I can understand that you like it. Personally I do not see the appeal of the design though. I would actually much rather have an over-the-top styled Hyper Combo-ish attack. But that's just me. In these kinda games you want to poke fun of the idea and the characters up to some degree, but I don't think they've pulled it off very well with Heihachi (both in design and in ivsuals). Once more; that is just me, I can honestly understand it if you like it. As for Sly; the guy on the stream said that instead of running, Sly just turns invisible. I haven;t really gotten the chance to play so I can't say anything about it, other then that it sounds kind of random to add that for a run (if it's actually part of the block as you claim, that could you explain?).

Sly is the only character as of now unable to block. When the block button is pressed down, he turns invisible. I can see a good Sly player psyching his opponent out with a variety of mix-ups which, he has to make up for his inability to block.

lol Hope he doesn't end up becoming one of the worst characters. Being unable to block in a fighting game is never a good thing.

Its actually bad considering the fact that it can be blocked from both sides. The only way that Sly can use it to his advantage is with the help of his supers. Other than that, players will have a really have a hard time mastering him.

Could you block from both sides? I have not seen anyone in a gameplay vid blocking while being attacked from behind. I might have overlooked it. Edit: YUP. I overlooked it. My mind was somewhere else. Haha. Edit2: During Daddy's lvl3 Sly's meter has 1 instead of a cross. Glitch?

The guy in the stream also called the Killzone machine in the Dojo stage a Metal Gear. I don't.. I don't know about that guy, really. But they've said many many times that Sly can't block, only disappear. I guess it's possible that he can't run either, but that would be stupid and I don't think it's the case. And while I agree that losing his block could hurt him, I think the ability could turn him into a deadly hit and run character. But it may just seem that way now, since we haven't seen a 1v1 with him. In the free for alls we've seen, it's been extremely easy for Sly to slip away quietly. He may be deadly in those situations.

And that's really how he fights in Sly Cooper too. Fire off an insanity strike or two in a crowd, let the enemies kill themselves, and then come in unnoticed and finish off the last guy before he knows what hit him. However this would also give Sly a large learning curve, as he's even invisible to the person playing as him. This means you have to know EXACTLY where he is at all times while holding down the block (or, in this case, disappear) button.

I'm sure if a player were to put time and effort into it, he/she'd be able to easy determine where he is.

Hence why I said learning curve. If it was just straight up hard most people wouldn't use him.
Or, at least, most of the fighting game fans I know anyways.

Thats probably a reference to the smoke bomb gadget where it makes you unoticable (pretty much the same as invisible) for a few seconds, enough time to get behind an enemy.

The combos felt boring compared to brawl's.. In fact, the combos on this game feels shorter :c But i will admit: I like Colonel radec, Sly, and Sweet Tooth's combos. They're pretty sick
