You're not playing Sly right. His invisibility can make four of the six Level 3's in the beta totally worthless. You have to approach him from a different angle, is all.
And I disagree about nerfing Radec. It has a lot of startup time and it's extremely obvious when he's doing it, plus spamming that move is a good way to get everyone on your a**.

I think instead of Raiden, they should have used Solid Snake.

Snake is already in a fighting game (SSBB) which is the same type as Playstation all-star battle royal. I think that's why they didn't add him.

Plus, this way they can advertise the next Metal Gear game with Raiden.

If one of those four you're mentioning about are Radec's, then you're wrong.
Radec's Lvl 3 is a complete gamebreaker. It literally has no delay and if you get accidentally caught in the lvl 3, he automatically knows your position and leaves you in for a second death, regardless of attempting to pull the invisibility.

Also, Sly isn't fully invisible. You could see him blended into the entire stage with his opacity but makes him hard to find because of what happening in the background constantly. I'm not saying he's a bad character though. He's just completely defenseless and if you approach with him as a melee based character: You're gonna get quite a few deaths. I'm not a professional Sly player and half of the time I was trying to figure out Sly's playstyle. I'm sure you know him way better than I do but it's my first impressions with the beta

Radec's sniper shot (Forward Triangle) gives off insane amount of AP per hit. Within 45-60 second in the match, a Radec player I was battling against in a free for all got up to level 2 and that was mostly from sniper shots.

When I played this at Comic Con, Evil Cole had the most overpowered forward triangle electric grenade move. I don't recall its exact AP gain, but it was so spammable that it practically didn't matter. I never saw Evil Cole lose a single match. They probably nerfed him by now, but damn.

Yeah, I've been hearing a lot about Evil Cole being overpowered. Hopefully they've toned him down.

The trick is not getting caught in it. If you can blend in and hide, you're set. Though if you get caught, you're f*** out of a life or two. I'll give you that.

And like I said, the trick with Sly is to make sure melee characters don't approach you. He's got a counter, a stun move and invisibility all just for that purpose. And if people do get in on you, he has several more moves (like forward circle) that can help you get away from them and sneak to someone else. I'm by no means a pro Sly either, I usually get my a** beat when I play him. But it's pretty easy to see how he needs to be played. The people that play like this - like I predicted earlier in the thread - are some of the best players out there, currently.

And I'll give you that the sniper might pull too much AP. But I still think it's mostly fair, since Radec only has to use it once before everyone else comes for him.

Something I thought about last night: Are Radec and Sly going to be completely useless in 1v1? Both of them have playstyles that are all about staying away from their opponents, and hoping they forget about them. That's not really possible at all in a 1v1 match. They'd both have to be played entirely differently

-A "resistance" series character

Lightning seems really likely yes. As does something fro mRessistance. Either a Chimera (wich I think would be coolio) or Nathan Hale. I mean, Ressistance gets both a home stage and a mash-up like all the others series with a playable character. sooooo....
