All I know is that against him, the more abilities you have, the more likely he is to use certain skills. Or something like that.

That's why people advise you to turn off all unnecessary abilities.

I would feel more inclined to battle bosses in BBS if they gave you experience. Really not a fan of grinding Mega Flare in the Keyblade Graveyard or Mirage Arena, just isn't fun. It was quite easy to get to the level cap in KH and II, don't see why it became almost impossible recently. However, once I beat one boss in BBS, I must beat it with the other characters.

And I do think Mysterious Figure is luck based as I somehow defeated him with Terra on Proud. Don't know how it happened, I think I made my brother use his Aqua character, give her a bunch of surges and Curagas, then I got his D-Link. Auto-Revive + everything else is in fact the bee's knees.

Fun fact, Mysterious Figure is the only boss Nomura hasn't beaten in the series.

I had troubles with Demyx the first time through but after the first time I don't have any troubles with him when I replay, and that's true for most bosses in II except Xaldin and I don't know why.

it's also much easier to level up in 3D compared to BBS which is a start at least

BBS was great, but I could've done without Ventus' Disney Town minigame.
