The only other (™) they've renewed is Street Fighter.

Pobably the biggest thing I could see would be something like this: a black wig falls on Dante's head, and he immediately, casually removes it without looking at it or remarking on it or generally acknowledging its existence at all. Get it?

I seem to be one of the only people here that liked meth-head Dante better than the old one. :I

I was kinda sad when so many people knocked it before they tried it, even if it did tick all the old Dante-lovers off.

But then I realized what they felt when Sonic Boom's Knuckles showed up.

Thing about new Dante is, he's just a cliched fanfiction-style character. Like, the bad kind. There's the fanfic self-insert who beats everyone because he's cool, and then there's the self-insert who beats everyone because society sucks and so does Fox News and so does popular music and HOW MANY PREGNANT WOMEN DO I HAVE TO SHOOT TO WAKE YOU SHEEPLE UP Old Dante is the first one, and he's smarmy enough that he makes it work, plus he eats pizza and that makes it better. New Dante was the edge.

Old Dante wasn't trying to make a point about society, he was just doing his job and killing some dang demons.

I mean, even before his personality emerged... his first pic (the mugshots) pissed people off.

And as someone who has been oblivious to fanfic stereotypes until recently, I just regarded it as pretty decent makeover.

The mugshots pissed people off because you can read a lot of personality into them. Dante is best described as "clean-cut and sharp", and this was absolutely not either one of those, signaling some huge changes to a beloved series

For some people, it may have legitimately been about the hair at some point. But those people are roughly the dmc equivalent of people who want Goku in Smash Bros. Unfortunately they give DmC apologists ammunition with the whole "u only hate him cause he looks different" argument

And you get to the finished game and he looks like a f*** monkey
