it f*** annoys me how people think they know all about these retro games when they wouldn't give the tiniest s*** about them if they hadn't been in smash bros in some form

i think takamaru's the only one that this hasn't applied to though, but music did appear from his game and he also had his own game in nintendo land iirc plus something in dynasty warriors might be wrong about either of these though
i still don't get why everyone wants takamaru though
besides captain falcon already takes the cake for "rep from obscure edgy racing game with helmet and original moveset"

Taka's got an entire mode devoted to his original game in a Dynasty Warriors game in addition to being a fully modeled and mostly unique character with a voice and story, along with his addition in Nintendo Land. And it's not like people were on the edge of their seats hoping for Game and Watch or Pit. Smash is a chance to rejuvenate interest in older characters.

I actually liked the idea of more characters getting transformation final smashes. Now Bowser and Wario wont be the only characters with one like that.

Oh I love transformation smashes, just not for Mac. I prefer to think of Mac as a character who had to push to be the very best, in spite of his size, and I just think some glorious combo would exemplify that a lot better than a "How the tables have turned" transformation like Giga Mac

I'm glad Sakurai recognizes the bizarre nature of Assist Trophies, and is happier to point out the anamolies than pretend they don't exist.
Is Color TV Games 15 now the oldest thing in Smash?
