It tells me that Edgeworth has a certain ability. I don't think that ability can be used effectively if the mafia are aware of it.
Keeping it to myself also means I'll be able to tell if somebody is lying or not if they claim Edgeworth. If everyone knows about it, anyone can easily go "Oh yeah I'm Edgeworth and I have [the ability Kyuubit told us about]".

Not too much to say here, but I'm a bit suspicious about TOWK's death being an attempt to cement a safeclaim.
As for Kyuubit not wanting to share that information, it's pretty reasonable town play.
