Arachnophobia is the fear of the look of spiders. If Spiderman showed up, they wouldn't be afraid. He has the abilities of one, but none of the aesthetic aspects. Take Batman, for instance. He was traumatized by bats, but you don't see him crying every time he puts on his suit.
