It seems obvious, like any other character who can use projectiles :P
But Link has so many possibilities with his projectiles, it's really hard to win against someone who knows how to use them :?

Some characters can defend against them well in almost every situation. Wario can destroy those projectiles with any move.

Since I recently started to play with Link I noticed something that had never either seen it or it just never took my attention before , Bombs have this bug where you can have what I want to call a Phantom Bomb- A bomb that deals no damage or knockback something very similar to what I also call the Phantom Rests with Puff .
Now, there was already known that their was "another" bug where a bomb deals 19% of damage, but after going to "The Lab" I discovered that this is actually a single bug where the first bomb you hit makes the damage of two bombs and the next one you hit will be a Phantom Bomb. Even after getting with the DoubleDamage bomb and missing the second one on purpose it won't matter the next bomb you hit with will be Phantom, it is either that or the RNG is messing with me, and even if that was not the case just the fact that a thing such a PhantomBomb exists is a decent deal for me since I'm very itembased (being a Peach main) and trying to use bombs for comboes like in other smash games could mess you up in this one.

This only happened to me once in a tournament match where I ended up losing decisively pretty much... so it wasn't a real factor, but during random online matches where I could have win with a Z-dropped bomb to Dair at minute 3:30 , thanks to this bug I had to win with a backthrow at minute 5:20.

I love Link, but I feel like he should be buffed and nerfed in a couple of ways.
Buffs:
Side Smash should have more power
Change dash attack in the Smash4 version with less endlag and less power (Power to kill someone like Ichigo at like 160%)
Down smash second hit should have more power

Now here are my nerfs..
Make dair have less power (killed me with Mario at 80% o.O)
Nerf power on bombs, and damage (make the bombs do about 7% damage)
And fix the double damage bomb glitch. (If you crouch while throwing a bomb down, it should do 19% damage :P)

Don't think this was mentioned but:

Counter-Hit Forward-Smash.

Now there's glitch that whenever a move's priority beats out an opposing attack the winning character's move connects with no self hit-lag. So they up with a high frame advantage on-hit. Just for simplicity, I going to call these "counter-hits."

For whatever reason, Link's FSmash has level-6 priority, but it shares some equal properties of level-7 priority. This is the same level as Falcon's Knee and Falcon Punch. The move clanks with many moves the same level as it, but also goes through many moves you would expect it to (Black Mage's Thundaga, Tails' Energy Ball). Because of the priority counter-hit glitch, punishing opposing attacks with FSmash puts Link at a frame advantage for the second slash to always connect.

So becareful challenging or being caught whiffing moves like:

Mario - Usmash, Dspecial
DK - Any of his tilt, Uspecial
Link - Ftilt, Usmash
Kirby - Dash-Attack
Pikachu, Lloyd, Peach, Black Mage - Any of their smash-attacks.
Zelda - Fsmash, Usmash, Nayru's Love.
Etc.

It's mostly any attack that are multi-hit or sex-kick moves. The longer the hit-box is out, the easier is to get a counter-hit. That's a free 26% for Link and the second-slash is a pretty strong kill move. This is pretty specific really, but even the best players love throwing out their unsafe moves. I think it's good for breaking habits.

Im just gonna board the nerf train and say that Dairs priority is too high. It beats Thunder, Thundaga and a goddamn fully charged PK Flash. Im not the guy who goes whining about everything, I leave that to others, but thats just laughable. Im starting to wonder what moves actually stop Dair... And if it makes more sense that those moves beat a lightning...
