Sticker Star was just f*** terrible. Bowser had absolutely zero dialogue. And Super Paper Mario is eh at best, Thousand Year Door is the real winner. |

I'm sort of getting the idea that Super Paper Mario is pretty decent but only if you play it before the other Paper Mario's.

Regarding Super Paper Mario, different doesn't always mean bad. Yeah, there are games like Bomberman Act Zero and DmC which shouldn't exist at all but Super Paper Mario wasn't bad at all. Despite not playing the same way,mthe gameplay was still really enjoyable, it actually had proper leveling up, and whether you love the game or hate it, the story is arguably the best in the Paper Mario series.
The three games are all great in their own right. Sticker Star, on the other hand, can f*** right off as can Color Splash. _________________  |

Even if SPM didn't play like one, it at least still tried to be a Paper Mario game in spirit. Same sort of humor, tons of variety in the different areas and what they added. Like going into space and becoming a shmup, or the Sammer Guy tournament that calls back to the Glitz Pit, or the MOTHER-style RPG fight against the three-headed Chomp. Even that long as s*** slave labor segment in Chapter 2 was still interesting purely in what sort of story it was telling.
Sticker Star just doesn't have a story to tell. And that's the biggest problem. _________________

SPM's music is also my favorite in the series, the Ultimate Show is also my favorite track in the entire series.
Given how terrible the Paper Mario series has become, I honestly hope we get a sequel or a remake of Super Mario RPG. Made by Square, of course. Yeah, it's most likely not gonna happen, but the mario series is really falling low on RPGs these days. Btw, should I play Paper Jam? |
