I just upgraded to a 3DS XL (gave my old one to my cousin), and picked up Awakening and New Leaf while I was out. I LOVE the XL SO MUCH. The resolution is so beautiful, it doesn't just upscale, it plays the game at a higher resolution to accommodate the larger screen. It feels great holding it, and the 3D feels deeper as well. Very satisfied with the upgrade.

And Final Fantasy XV will be amazing

And Geno, the console does NOT play the game in a higher resolution, that's not how resolutions and upscaling works. Sorry to burst your bubble.
