Marth is different, but still hype beast. And he embodies Melee-Marth more now in movement and combo-flow. Adjustments to jump-physics also help his micro-space better for tippers during combos.

This is probably what end-game Marth should be like. He feels smoother, refined and ,importantly, expressive. He feels rewarding to play and is fun to play against too now. Can't wait to see where the meta takes him.

I didn't notice many changes. His dash dance is much longer now, and his fsmash is smaller. It doesn't cover Battlefield platforms anymore. Grab range, too, seems better.

You can cancel your upward momentum with dancing blade. This isn't new, but I haven't seen anyone mention it before. Marth has a higher fulljump now, so it can help him sorta kinda waveland. Something like up throw below platform > full hop > dancing blade in the direction they DIed in. As long as they don't tech roll toward you, you should either hit them in the air, which leads to more dancing blade or up tilt, or jab reset grab them (unless you tipper). And if you read tech in, you can just grab them.
They can also DI away from the platform, which either gives you tipper fsmash on fox and friends or I guess an aerial on floaties.

Fthrow got a few nerfs; it can't chain throw anymore, and doesn't combo as well. Goku's still exists, for some reason.

MUCH easier to double f-air but only with momentum. Instead of having to short hop forward air, drift back you could just run SH double f-air

im seeing lots of praise for marth here. i must be playing a diff type of marth because he feels so nerfed. no more grab game/ combos. harder to tiper. harder to spike. did his hit box just change and i need to further test out? been playing him for 2 days now.

He's different, hitboxes are slightly changed I think. Just practice a little more and it'll start to click. It took me a long time to figure out v0.9b Marth, might be the same thing for you.

I made a big mistake. I played some 9b Marth.
God that man was fast. Fair was almost instant, and fmash seems almost as fast as Beta Marth's fair. Now Beta Marth feels wimpy in comparison.
Maybe I'll play some 9b Sora to cheer myself up.
