Dual Destinies and PLvsPW/DGS were made by completely different development teams.
PLvsPW and DGS went for the more natural flowing animation with their models, DD and AA6 are sticking to the original roots with it's choppier/cartoony animations.
Is that clear enough? You don't have to like it, but it's not laziness for a different dev team to stick to roots while the other goes for a different approach.
