"I am, I am!!" He slammed his fist against the stone switch once again. A section of the wall spun around, taking Lex with it. A solid rock wall replaced it.

Marion screamed hugged Leon's neck. "Make it stop, Leooon!!!" The only things in the room were Violet's chains and place where Lex had disappeared. The hole had widened to fill more than half of the place.

Leon began to sweat and felt around the nearby area for a switch, having no luck, he made his way over to where Lex was and began to pound on the wall as he held on to Marion as if his life depended on it, he was deathly afraid he would drop her. He hoped he would find a switch, or perhaps a way to make it stop. He needed to, after all, his life depended on it.

The music picked up and the floor became a small ledge only as wide as Leon's foot. One wrong step and he would fall to his death. To make matters worse, Marion was squirming and writhing in his arms, making it extremely hard to stand still. Violet continued to mumble and "dance" as she hung in her bolted, unmovable chains. Her sturdy, grip-able chains.

Leon stopped moving and tried to feel for a switch as held the maid. "Marion, I need you to calm down. Or else we'll both fall." He said keeping his back to the wall, he held her as close to him as possible to keep himself balanced and as close to the wall as possible. He started to think, was this really the end. He continued to feel for one, he gave up and then made a mad rush, sliding over to violet who was nearby and grabbed ahold of one of the chain's she had.

"Hang on to me. Don't let go." Leon said holding on to Marion as well.

Serene stood there, looking at the lifeless body of her uncle, a knife protruding from his head. She looked at Eton, giving him a strange look, and then she ran out of the room, dropping the sword. "The look in his eyes as he died...they were staring at me, as if death won't stop him from getting me..." she thought, trying to get the picture out of her head.

Euphemia saw Endoh's body hit the floor, and she went ballistic. "You...you killed the one man who was my friend...my only living friend...now he's dead, like all my other friends..." She looked at the back of his head with rage and anger. She charged at him, and took her knife and aimed for his head. "I'LL SEE IT TRUE THAT HIS DEATH WASN'T IN VAIN!"

"I am not a criminal" stated Violet stubbornly, she immediately took up her lute, and strummed it, magical sparks ran up the neck of the instrument. She noted that something did not seem right about the faint music in the background it sounded off key compared to her music. She shrugged any doubt she had away and continued to play her lute rapidly, she played the song Trick removing any potential threat that the man's weapon would have, she was confident that she'd be able to knock him out with her lute, or beat him herself if necessary. "Something's not right about this place" she murmured to herself awaiting the man with his drawn weapon.

Anna was ready to cheer when the elderly monk came to her aid but her happiness was brought to an end when the monk was obliterated. "Well the demon is getting weaker every second" she said to herself in an optimistic tone. She was glad that Tekun was there to protect her while she conjured another spell of light, she really wished that her personal arsenal was larger though. Pointing her index finger at the demon she shot another beam of light at the beast except this time aiming at it's leg.

The ray of light shot the demon in the leg, a final blow on a demon with no more resistence to the attack. It was all but done for. It let out a moan of pain before remaining motionless on the ground, then it began to melt away, disapearing like it's arm. As it dissolved, the rest of the group gathered the dead.

"What the hell." One man said.

"Don't question such things. It was not of this world. An ill omen i'm sure." the other said. The survivors headed back carrying the dead who were not decayed and tainted by the demon.

As it vanished, it left something behind, an item, shining, but what.

Tekun looked back at Anna, Tania and Rana.

"I'm so glad you agreed to help Anna." Tekun said thanking her. "Without you, I feel this battle would have been lost."

Eton dodged the attack, barely, the knife scaved right acorss his cheek. He was unarmed, he'd have to rely on his speed to defeat the women.

"And it's somehow right for you to try to kill me and the women I love." Eton said realizing the blow she did orginally was causing him to have trouble catching his breath. "I had no one before, I won't go back to that if I can help it." Eton said falling back to the ground in an attempt to get the knife.

Cyclopean Demon
The demon groaned, but nobody heard it. Things tore through its body and left it bleeding, broken on the ground. It twitched, crying in pain, and opened its eyes one final time... But as they glowed the creature saw everything had changed. The world it had found itself in had dissolved. Vanished. It reached out, clawing the cold, comforting air, and looked down at its body.

The cuts and holes on its body were writhing and shivering, closing slowly. It pushed itself up on its arm and felt larger. Stronger. It stood, now as massive as it had ever been, with great shoulders and mighty claws. It stretched out a finger and a bolt of purple roared forth, tearing apart any strange thing in its path.

Here, the demon was truly powerful. Here, it was among the strongest of the void's living things. Here, it could only be defeated by its master, who had clearly shown favor for great effort. Here, in the void.

The cyclopean demon growled softly, "Nosferatu..."

Blood lust shone in Euphemia's eyes as she charged after Eton, bringing to knife down to his neck area. "YOU THINK YOU HAD NO ONE?!" She questioned. "All the people I cared for were killed by fire mages, one by one." she began to explain while striking. "They entered the temple and kill us...I was the only person to come out of that, with a mouth and a blade covered in blood...blood of my friends and of my enemies! How long could you live knowing that everyone you cared for was killed before you?!"

Serene ran out the the lobby, and ran through the same path Endoh had taken to reach them. As she rounded the corner of the back of the Inn, see spied a large hawk. Not just a hawk, but the hawk that had assisted in the attack. She looked it it carefully. It was wounded and there were bandages on it's wings. "He can't do much, so I'm safe from here." she muttered

J reached the end of the dirt path he traveled upon. It stopped right by the coastline. He stared out at the sea, with the ships floating through towards the ports. He dropped his mallet and sat down upon a large rock. "Well...look at that beautiful sea." He told himself, grinning. "It's a shame I can't settle around here...until I find a woman that is...and the chances will grow as I reach the next port town..."

Eton grabbed Euphemia's hand as he felt the knife on his throat, he felt his heart racing. He knew all too well about her experience, he could sympathize.

"I saw....my family killed in front of me...my mother, my sister....my father, all slaughtered mercilessly." Eton said, barely holding Euphemia's knife back. "It was horrible....only.....three of us in the whole...town survived. The other two were taken by illness shortly after. I was young back then, too young to do anything."

Euphemia dropped her knife after hearing what the kid said. he walked past him and reached for the sword. Once she picked it up, she left the lobby. "This kid...he stopped me from killing with the same kind of pain I felt...only his was worse..." she muttered to herself, a tear rolling down her cheek. "I can't kill someone who is like me..."
She exited the building, and she looked towards the horizon. "Cousin Jay...I need to find you...you're my closest relative..."
Rourky saw her and waddled over to her, since he couldn't fly.

J continued to sit upon the rock, and h pulled out his novel from his waist. He held it before him, opening up to the last page he read. "Ah...Lovely Day...once again you will end my day with a little romance..." he said as if it was to the book. He rubbed the cover and began to read.

OOC: oh the temptation!

Anna almost toppled over from the lack of energy, but she managed to smile at Tekun's praise. She spotted something glowing in the remains of where the battle was, she hobbled toward it like an old woman. Ash and the fading remains of dark energy flowed around the area but it flowed around her not daring to touch her presence of light. As she got closer to the shiny object the light faded and she saw that it was a pair of spectacles. She picked them up and dusted them off, then put it on, she saw all the different forces flowing through the air instantly. Anna looked down at her hands they glowed white, she then took off the glasses and saw nothing, and then she put them back on. She looked over at Rana a roaring black flame surrounded him and a weird aura surrounded Tania with a bit of a mix of black but primarily a green aura. "Such wonderful spectacles" she said to herself. "I wonder" she concentrated and her view suddenly returned to normal despite the fact that she was wearing spectacles, her regular vision had improved as well. She ran back to the others happily, the strange item renewing her strength.

Tania ran down the hill to hug Tekun tightly happy that he was safe. "I'm so glad you're safe" she said cheerfully looking down at him. She hugged him again for good measure, it seemed like there was always a battle that would sweep away Tekun from her.

OOC: Lol, I told DH to tell me what you wanted and I'd make it make sense... Now it makes none. Oh well. Nice glasses!

Rana sighed in relief. The demon had vanished, and oddly enough, though Rana had not noticed its presence, he noticed very clearly its absence. Where there had been a pocket of energy there was now nothing but whatever the priestess had picked up. He squinted at her. Anna was her name. She was skilled with her art, he noted, before making his way slowly down the hill. The battle with the demon had certainly been strange. It was a creature of the void, he was sure, and it made him curious. He flinched in a strange way as Tania hugged Tekun.

Eton was surprised to see that the women let him live. She stopped suddenly after she heard his tale and then left, grabbing her blade. Eton got up and held his side and coughed. He let out a sigh of relief and then walked over towards Endoh and removed his dagger from his head. He closed his eyes and wondered how such a man came to be. He ran out, holding his wound. He needed to find Serene. He followed the way she went shouting for her.

Tekun hugged Tania back.

"I'm glad you are too." Tekun said. "I won't lose you again." He said. He was tired, and exausted, he wanted rest, but he had a feeling it wouldn't be too long before he needed to fight again. He looked over to Anna. "How you holding up?" He wondered. "Hm. What are those?" He said pointing at the spectacles.

The guard swung his blade and chopped Violet's lute clean in half. Apparently, her music had no effect. "Resisting arrest, eh? Then pay with your blood!" He swung again, this time aiming at her waist.

Marion tightened her grip right as the floor fell away completely.The music softened to a low idle tune as they dangled there, seeming to have avoided the trap. Escaping this particular one was going to prove to be the easiest part, however. Suddenly, lava began to flow up from the below the spikes. It crawled toward Leon the girls slowly as the heat became more and more intense. He had to think fast or they'd be cooked alive.
