There's more than a few practically garunteed combos into shuriken too.

Win or lose naruto pisses me off so much. If I end up in a match with a naruto online im just gonna go ahead and quit and find someone else to fight. No one else is this ridiculously unfun to fight, hell a lot of naruto mains end up rage quitting against other narutos.

What if Naruto had a chakra system? He'd have a lil bar besides his portrait and for every special move he depletes a bit of it and when it's too low he can't perform them (yes, even up special). This way he'd have the same options he already has (no nerf to the lag of his clones) but players would need to be more careful and less campy; make it so if one played him the way he's "supposed to" like rushing in and using the clones for extending combos, the chakra bar isn't a hindrance.

Ya know, it isn't so bad when you just nair most of his clones. They actually don't have as much priority as one would think.

I see people all the time complain about the clones, but those people are the same people that usually don't bother to attack the clones instead.
If you just find a high priority move with your character (Kirby's bair, Fox's nair, Jigglypuff's Pound, ect), just use it when you think Naruto's gonna throw one out. Works on his down special too.

They kinda act like Dedede's Gordos in Sm4sh. No problem if you can reliably hit them back, but a huge pain in the rear if you don't do anything about them.

Naruto is far from the beast people make him out to be. He's mostly just obnoxious. The clones last too long and should be destructible on any hit. If he gets a slight buff or two in other areas, so be it.

Anyone else try short-hop pivot with Naruto? Here's my analysis on this tech for Naruto.

Short-hop pivot Rasengan/Rasenshuriken could probably be used to charge while moving away, or just to toss it out there for trickshots.

Short-hop pivot Clone Toss could be used to gain more space while attempting a setup leading into Dash Attack.

Short-hop pivot Dspec (Name?) is probably only useful for getting those 2 clones around you while moving away.

That sound more like reverse aerial rush to me.

Unless you are talking about simply using specials in reverse.

I think he means reverse specials, not RAR. RAR bair is really good for Naruto because his SH is really good.

Only thing naruto is bad at is recovery, and even then its not THAT bad.

You didn't sideB enough.

From watching the first couple of games, I can tell you need to start teching more consistently.
Also, try to save your neutral-B shuriken until the opponent is above 50%, otherwise it's mostly a waste.

Naruto is by far my favorite character. I even won some tourneys me and my friends made up with him, and he is my main in this epic game. There is only one flaw to Naruto. In this game, people usually know him to be the match-up against Goku. But the thing that I want you developers to add so bad is Sage Mode Naruto, similar to how you guys added Kaioken Goku. You see, when you are Regular Naruto (The normal sprite), you are able to throw the Rasenshuriken. In both the manga and the anime, this is not the case. He is only able to throw Rasenshuriken in Sage Mode. Also, I miss the Odama Rasengan for regular Naruto(The one that Kyuubi Naruto does when the Rasengan is fully charged) If you guys could make Naruto like this... I swear, this will be the best fan game I have ever played.

Smash isn't canon (or Rest would not be anything close to what it is now), and it doesn't really try to be. How would having Sage Mode impact the character or buff-nerf him? It seems like a lot of work for a questionable change.
