My idea of Sonic's new side B could be either Cyan Laser from Colors, or Crimson Eagle from Lost World. Even the Sonic games with the worst story telling have good features!

But that side b would make Sonic very ultra cheap OP. Like the MUGEN cheapies.

No, it won't be too OP. It'll be just like Light Dash, except the recovery is actually BETTER, and you can actually control the darn thing.
