ROMs are illegal. Don't give me that "not if you own the game" s***, it clearly says you are NOT allowed to alter, duplicate or redistribute any game you purchase. Same goes for movies and shows.

The "it's ok if you own the game" stuff is just made up by the same morons who said "it's not illegal if you delete it within 24 hours".
