Yeah well, the "O RLY?" owl and Mama Luigi were considered assist trophies before the overhaul, so I wouldn't trust the old ssf2 plans too much on that matter.

The difference between those and Cloud is that those two assist trophies are meme based. If Cloud didn't appear as part of the cast in Smash 4 I would say the same about him. _________________SSF2 Mains:  ,

Well Kirb-Star, I understand that it would be weird to let Wolf in as a starter rather than Falco. I picked Wolf because it would seem reasonable to have him be a starter rather than Falco, who has always been an unlockable character in the Smash series. Don't get me wrong, if the Devs want to make Falco a starting character rather than Wolf, I'd be all for it! But, Falco had always been unlockable and he should stay the same to pay homage to the Smash games. Plus, Wolf is more popular than Falco even though they are both semi-clones.

Wolf was also an unlockable in Brawl. And Falco was added in Melee, before Brawl. And plenty of Unlockabe Melee chars are now as starters such as  &  I think Falco has a bigger priority than Wolf, just because you like Wolf more than Falco doesn't mean he'll get in first.

However, I'd argue that Wolf's specials were way more unique than Falco's. Not only that, but his standard attacks were vastly different.
