Plug your android into your computer, download and learn about Android Debug Bridge (ADB)
Want a step by step guide?

Recently, the ability to take screenshots was baked into official android (So it's understandable if you cannot do it with an older device), and now with 4.4 (Kitkat) Screen recording is an official thing.

nice, it works. but if you have to plug it in every time you want to take a screenshot then i'm better of getting a new phone :P

also, do you know if screenshots work on 4.1 (jelly bean)? i have a tablet with it.
