i dont even get the big deal if it was like mega man 11 and they were saying you'd be able to play as mega woman instead then i could at least understand the people complaining about changing a well established character, but it isn't mega man 11. it's an entirely new concept that isn't fixed or established in any way and it should've been clear right from the start that basically everything was subject to change. beck did not exist until this game as a male or a female. seriously what is everyone's problem

OHH GOSH, You guys are getting it all wrong, The problem ISN'T THE FEMALE BECK. THE PROBLEM IS DINA AS THE COMMUNITY MANAGER OF MIGHTY N°9If you watched the video i posted fully, it explains clearly that the deal is about that person choosen as the community manager, which most of the beckers are unconfortable with by how she was choosen and her tweets (which she deleted). It seems that TerminX is the only one that got it Again i invite you guys to watch the video, but full.

No, they're just angry because she's a woman. That's it. Same as always, really
and they actually think a community manager is an important job and not just "a bit more than forum moderator"
Mega Man X was not a great game because it had a good community manager!!

I agree that there's a certain level of that (being attacked just because she's a woman, I mean). But we have to look past the legitimate idiots pushing it as far as they can. Like I said earlier, It's clear that few people actually want her to be there, yet there she is, in a position where she's supposed to represent the interests of the forum. I don't really agree with the massive backlash (and I'm certain it wouldn't be as large if Dina was a man), but now that it's happened anyway I don't think the appropriate actions have been taken And just to make it perfectly clear: I have no delusions of Inafune changing the game on the whim of someone who is a little higher up the ladder than the secretary. I'm not worried about the quality of Mighty No. 9.

i don't exactly know what's going on but what i've picked up on from podcasts i listen to and the like
she got hired because her boyfriend works there she has admitted to not being huge into megaman or something
and i think that's why people are mad? i don't really know the whole thing seems silly to me
edit: oh yeah and feminist s*** or something

Doesn't really matter You can't represent a community very well if they're mostly against you I honestly haven't even activated my account on the backer forums because I don't want any part of this. I imagine it's a near-warzone over there. It is kind of silly. Dhrag posted a video on the last page that explains it in some more detail

You know what's worse for Mighty No. 9 than feminism? This.

I thought that looked super cute. I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

i'd rather have an animated series i don't have to watch rather than being told about women's rights in a game i would like to enjoy

It's just because the last thing before that video was everyone arguing about Dina.

People were arguing about her for various reasons but "feminism is bad for mn9" is a really stupid and incomplete way to summarize it
It reeks of not understanding the controversy at all
Not to mention that said controversy is completely irrelevant now, as these things tend to be
