I heard rumors saying that there won't be compatible Pokémon amiibos for that game.
Because it seems the Pokémon Company only allows crossovers with Smash Bros.

You'd be correct. As of right now at least, the pokemon company doesn't allow any sort of crossover with their franchise besides smash bros.

they probably have other plans for pokemon amiibo integration
I wouldn't be surprised if the Pokken Tournament roster gets amiibos

I grabbed the 3 pack splatoon amiibo on amazon. I was refreshing the lucina page for an hour, then supposedly they were "sold out" before they were even listed live. I call s***.

If I focus on finding this stuff online, of course I will find it, that's how I got my [poked] Smash Bros. Bundle. But let me tell you, for example, the golden and silver Mario amiibos are exclusive to certain stores in the US, such deals are unexistant here where I live but still manage to came from other dealers and are available for purchase at really high prices you wouldn't imagine for an amiibo.
