Playing passively in Mafia is generally associated with playing with the Mafia side. Meanwhile, the Town-sided players generally can't win by playing passively. While I noticed that he prefers playing as Mafia, in general Mafia players play as Mafia much more rarely, in comparison to how often they play on the Town side. The fact that he characterizes the game as "passive-ish" raises an eyebrow for me.

2. Town as I'm trying to get better at it.
3. Of the ones I've played? I think I had the most fun as watcher.
4. This shouldn't really be a question if everyone's going to say "Because it's fun". The thrill of the sneaky mislynch, of the unlikely correct lynch, using a night action in such a way that you can corner someone. These are only some of the great aspects of Mafia.
