If you could erase one event from history forever, which one would it be: There's a lot of major tragedies I could list here, but the world's reaction to them (like the Holocaust/World War 2) resulted in the creation and advancement of a lot of technology/treaties/whatever to prevent history from repeating itself. The Heaven's Gate suicides didn't add anything good to the world, though, so I'll go with that.
