I'd love to give it a go, if that is at all acceptable. =)
A few quick questions - Is it acceptable to write the piece in 6/8 time instead of the 3/4 time the MIDI file is written in? Is it acceptable to lengthen the last note of the given stimulus (your melody) as to fit with a musical structure? And also, is it possible to know what this music is being written for, without intruding into anything that is not to be known? |

This melody should function fine in 6/8 with the way I arranged it, so sure! The last note can be lengthened yes since once that final note is hit I will consider the melody to have officially been played untouched at least once. And this music is being written "for" fun!!
