I hardly consider Wii Fit Trainer to be a joke. I mean, if you take into account that the other fighters in the series include a tiny space guy who commands walking plants, a blue humanoid hedgehog, a pair of eskimo's, a humanoid fox, a humoid pheasant, an electric rodent, a pink marshmellow, a dinosaur, magical princesses, futuristic racers etc. etc., then a virtual yoga instructor actually fits into the line-up quite well. Her character is also pulled off in a way that allows people to take her seriously.

The only people who consider SheFit a joke are, in my opinion, people that are butthurt over her inclusion (over other characters).

That and Wii Fit is Nintendo's 8th best selling franchise and the third best selling console game in history. It makes complete sense for the franchise to be represented in some form

Also because why not have my roster too while we're at it.

The Tales Of Franchise is nowhere near as big as Metal Gear, Sonic, and Mega Man. Sakurai has previously stated at E3 that if they were to add in another Third-Party character, they'd have to be a big deal. Which Pac-Man is and Lloyd is not.
Well the thing is that Conductor Link's model is nothing like fighters at all. It was ripped straight from Spirit Tracks.
Toon Link could still get in, a second Link is important to add in Sakurai's eyes and it would be odd by any means. I mean is it weird to see several multicolored Links fighting on the same stage in Smash64, Melee, and Brawl?
