Yo so the first movie is actually out on home media now!!

I watched it and it was pretty good! Certainly a much better adaptation than P4's anime.

It didn't really have any of the social links, but you can't really blame them for that because it's a movie

I like how they're looking at Makoto as an actual character instead of just a self-insert for the player and how the way he acts effects people

Junpei's character also makes a lot more sense because there's actual fight scenes instead of turn based battles so we see exactly why he's jealous about Makoto doing all this cool s*** instead of him

So yeah, it was a pretty good adaptation and it actually expands on some things in the game and makes them make more sense. I still wouldn't reccomend it to people who haven't played the game, though
