Honestly, I hate pokemon. I did not like this song much because of that. Pokemon is now the most unoriginal series (game series) out there. I mean (Forgot which season) there is a freaking pine cone. -__- But hell, at least it is an update.

The remix... nothing to say, it is short and I can't tell the difference between it and the Pokemon theme because I usually mute the sound of the games, so I never heard it many times.

You didn't like the piano/marimba combo?  Eh, we're all different. Though as far as music theory is concerned, the piece is not "off-key" (so-to-speak) anywhere, though I do use some dissonance during the transitions to make it sound darker.

I'm telling you, this software is amazing: http://www.propellerheads.se/products/reason/ Although it is expensive, and better plug-ins can cost a lot, just the instruments it comes with are still pretty good.
