What do you think are good matchups that low/mid tiers have against high tiers? I know Chibi Robo vs MK isn't that bad for Chibi Robo, but I don't know much more about low tier vs. high tier matchups.

I see MM as top of low tier, he could be bottom of mid tier

3rd to last equals Low Tier in my book.

One example I can think of:

- Wario vs. MK Yoshi

Fox still wrecks Sora. Sure, you get combos. But everyone gets combos on Fox, and Fox will wreck you in neutral and take stocks pretty quickly.


I submit Wario v Yoshi. Yoshi has great onstage combos, but Wario does too and he has one of the most brutal edgeguards in the game: Chomp goes through super armor and can take Yoshi's stock from literally one hit.


Other MU's.......

I believe that Chibi-MK is close to even as Lunary said.

I could see MM beating Naruto, but I've never seen the MU so I wouldn't know.

Of course, Wario beats MK 80-20 as well

Sora/Naruto isn't that bad for Sora. You can just Fair through his clones and outrange him mostly. However, he can't do too much about Rasengan/shuriken.

I've heard from exaggerating people that Kirby/Falcon and Kirby/ZSS isn't bad, but I'd take that with a pinch of salt.

Sora can just DSmash Rasenshuriken, so one problem less... Kirby vs ZSS is more in ZSS favour, although i usually dont are too bad in thta MU.

IIRC Kirby does alright vs. Fox.

Peach vs Fox is also p good

I think Kirby loses to Fox slightly, but only if the Fox is on point. You essentially have to win neutral 90% of the time or more, but that's totally possible with the extreme difference in the neutral game. Kirby has vicious combos on Fox, and Hammer -> edgeguard is a threat at 50%.

BM beats Chibi from my experience. Meteors are good at edgeguarding Chibi, and that coupled with dair to beat up-B means that edgeguards are pretty easy. BM can combo Chibi fairly well considering his lackluster punish game onstage, but I really see BM's neutral being the deciding factor. Meteors beat just walling, and I don't see how Chibi is supposed to approach BM. Essentially, I see BM having problems with rushdown characters, and Chibi can't rush down BM.

Fox v Peach is pretty even from my experience: kinda like Melee, but no waveshines and no uthrow -> uair changes things in Peach's favor.

I can see and having a close to 50/50 MU with , they have the tools to make it seem like that.

The vs MU is fairly even... on the air, Chibi´s "ground game" is basically only grab which if he misses MK has enough time to punish and setup for edguards. So in a plataform stage you want to use plataforms to extend your combos and not to try to make them, besides camping or edgeguards I mean.

vs looks probably even or maybe a bit in Sora's favor. IMO

And vs doesn't feel that bad, and Samus may even have the advantage in that matchup.

sounds like Naruto and Fox have balanced MU's throughout the whole cast. the closest thing to this in Melee is Marth, but that isn't even that close.
