So my friend's been getting me into Pogo - as in, since the start of today. I like him, he sorta reminds me of Hideki Naganuma (Jet Set Radio's composer). Some tracks even sound Madlib-ish, in a way. He samples from movies and shows and such. He even sampled from K-On! This made me pretty much a fan, I look forward to sampling song this into a beat later on: I'm not even a huge fan of...whatever genre this is tbh(I wanna say electronic, but some of his stuff is really hip-hop sounding), but he's pretty good.

Saw Radiator Hospital at a s**** show just about 3 months back.
Had no idea that they would be getting talked about by Pitchfork, f*** crazy world we live in.
(to further increase my indie cred, Modern Baseball played a show in my hometown for me and like 20 others before the blew up.)

i believe you mentioned this before, still cool tho sample based downtempo/trip hop pretty much havent heard much from pogo but the song you posted is pretty cool actually you'd probably dig DJ shadow, free the robots, and the avalanches, they're generally up the same alley. i used to be really really into sample-based music, i still appreciate it now how was the show man

This sick underground band called Pendulum. They're super hip and cool, and they have such sick drops in their songs. I bet you've never even heard of them. They're really obscure, I'm the only kid in my whole middle school that listens to them.

i know that's why my joke is so humourous and wittyspeaking of pendulum, ive recently been enjoying their music again for the first time in like, years i've noticed that the main reason for this is because a lot of the synths and breakbeats and s*** remind me of the super monkey ball OST. specifically the water levels. about 1:30 into it, if you can't stand rob swire's vocals for more than a minute and here: nostalgia is a powerful thing, making me genuinely enjoy something that i consciously regard as sub-par
