First let me say there is a character limit, so if there's too much text in your sig it won't let you save it.

But there is a way to check image dimensions, though I think it could have a huge impact on the speed of the forums because of the number of images here. It has to check the size of every image in every sig in order to work, and it mostly likely does it every time a page loads.

GET OUT MY TOPIC b****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! J/k

but I dont care about the sig limit unless it messes up My sig!.

You know, it would be a really, REALLY, really, REALLY good idea to leave the forums while you still can.

how about it checking the images size when you are creating your signature??

I mean, when you are in the control panel modifiying your signature, when you are done it should check the signature's images. If the signature image size limit is passed, then the change in the signature should not be acomplished... what you think about it?

If that is the way it works then we don't have a problem, but I can't be sure

That's the way I would like it to work  (which implies more coding for you :P ).

When you are changing your signature, if you use more than "X number" of letters, you are not allowed to save the changes.

You could do the same with images... if all the images togheter have more than "X width" and "X length", then the user would not be able to save the changes on their signature.

In the case someone first puts the link, and uploads/modify the images afterwards, mod can punish those people.

Or, you could have global moderators edit the sigs that are too huge. :wee:

yes, do that :wee:
Mods can't do that, and I'm not going to waste my time editing the sigs of every dumbass who doesn't know how to count pixels.

If you actually try to count pixels, you are a dumbass.
