With SMG2, I am perhaps the worst case to clear it complete, not because I sucked at playing it, but because of that f#$%&g auto-save, dang it; with a death counter, that is basically the worst thing Nintendo did with SMG2, for me.

BTW, Super Mario 3D Land was released today in Japan, curse you region-lock!

IIRC SMG2 didn't have auto-save.

Yes it has, every time you get a star, new or not, it automatically saves your game. Or what is auto-save for you?

Saves in the middle of the galaxy, I guess.

Didn't realise that since there was a save button.

Galaxy 1 asks you if you want to save, Galaxy 2 doesn't. When you [Onaru] got SMG2?

I don't consider that auto-saving.

Why would you stop it, anyways?

Why not? it don't even ask you, that's an auto-save. I'm trying to beat Galaxy 2 without rising the death counter, I rose with Galaxy 1 over 180 deaths, some were intentional, though. Because I usually like to kill myself just for fun, I didn't count the Game Over has an auto-save too, that screwed by proposed feat, that's why I hate Galaxy 2's auto-save. What's worse, I always start new games with a rigorous process to clear it, both Galaxies games are one of the hardest to do these processes, if it fails, you got to restart everything, call me a obsesive, I don't care.

I got SMG2 early this year and never got SMG1.Why do you ask?

I actually would argue that Paper Mario is interesting enough to warrant having its own thread.
However, it's been a while since the last game and the hype just hasn't hit yet for the new one. I recommend locking this up and starting a new thread when we start to get information on the 3DS Paper Mario that's coming out, so that we'll actually have something to discuss.

Yes we've seen the trailers, but we're not at the stage where the game is nearly out and we're getting new info and screenshots to talk about all the time.

I love the games, and if this topic works out then that's cool, I just don't really expect it to.
