Ancient? I usually find that the older ones tend to be better then most recent anime.

Bad/old animation hurts my eyes. It's stupid, I know, and it's meant to be all about story, but I can't take old stuff seriously

graphics don't make anything good, you pretentious f*****. if anything visual appearance should be a bonus on top of the more enjoyable aspects like say, i don't know, actual substance. s*** c*** like yourself would probably be entranced by a hiking simulator with beautifully rendered mountains and grass despite the fact it is just you holding down the movement key for four f*** hours. i'd tell you to return to your mothers' tit and come back when you're a year or two older, but that doesn't stop you from being completely retarded so i won't bother.

Wow, tone it down a bit. One of the things I care most about a show is how good the animation is. Style can make or break a series. This is true in games, as well. Spoony was unable to play FFIX because he thought the character designs and graphics were s*** furry wet dreams. He never got to experience the story because of someone's poor excuse for art direction. Visual appeal is everything, to me.

everybody is entitled to their opinion, but the oh-one way to dearly piss me off is someone saying "<thing> is s*** because it doesn't have good graphics" or "<thing> is better then <first thing> because it has better graphics and i refuse to accept anything else". i am aware he wasn't exactly saying that, but generally when you're angry you don't give a flying s***.

I don't expect an apology. Plus, that thing you described also pisses me off. I may care about graphics and special effects, but just because something does it poorly doesn't mean the entire thing is bad. I may not watch or play it because of the bad art design, but I won't rag on something I didn't want to watch or play. In fact, the story may be phenomenal, I just won't know because the visual style doesn't appeal to me. A pity, but it's one of my standards.

I'm not a total appearance f**, but when anime looks more like american animation, I'm really uninclined to watch it. Also, the guy looks like a ugly male samus in a red jumpsuit. Also
