A few days ago some students "occupied" the NYU cafeteria in order to protest the ever increasing cost of tuition. Now, I'm all for keeping my tuition costs low, and would really like to know how they justify 10% raises every year, but what these guys did was just stupid. Watch the video and hear their eloquent negotiations with the school staff and campus police. _________________ Place all complaints in the circular file. |

I cant stand kids like that..
Oh we're being democratic see? we only took over college property! Please, they're inane. If you want to be democratic you petition to meet with those responsible for the changes and make UN-OBSTRUCTIVE live protest. You make your voices heard and gain community backing by doing so.. not by pretending you're being civil by taking over private property as your buddies shout obscenities and you keep repeating "You're on camera! we're gonna capture your brutality!" when there is no 'brutality' to be spoken of. In fact, the police should've been more 'brutal'. In the end, i suspect these 'open-minded civil liberal protesters" won't really make any ground and they'll blame it on the 'corrupt system' and not the horrid way they went about demonstrating.. |
