I'm going to feel Terrible for Sora once he realises he has to find his parents, unless they're are on Destiny Islands in KH2 already.
Or if they go by RPG rule #7- Protagonists only have 1 or 2 living parents and by the time the actual story starts they die or vanish, freeing the protagonist from family obligations.

people think if they argue with someone that means they're supposed to hate them
your parents are adults so they probably understand that it's better to patch things up and move on

Maybe, but most of the time they don't move on, they whine and mutter and argue more, they never move on and patch it up. And it's driving me crazy.
