like it's a fine idea but the stuff it can perfect shield is stupid. why can it perfect shield a fully charged tipper shield breaker from Marth? it's your fault for standing there for 20 years while he charges it AND spaces it correctly

It can be annoying yes, but it takes a lot of practice to time it right.
Perfect shielding is a major tactic to learn and when you're able to time it right more often than not, it's super satisfying.
I used to hate foot-stooling, but it's also another tactic to learn to time spikes and such right. Should it have been in this game? I say no, but it's there and it can be useful.

if you can practice to perfect shield consistently, you shouldn't need to perfect shield a fully charged shield breaker because you wouldn't be dumb enough to stand there anyways

Perfect shielding allows you to counter opponents sooner since they suffer hitlag and you dont, therefore, it can be more useful than a dodge, or waiting until the attack finishes. Think of it as a parry.

We could break this down grammatically. It is a "perfect" shield after all.

The smash devs prolly thought of what you're saying and drew their end conclusion out of a hat.

^ This. It's perfectly fair, since shield breaker is insanely easy to, well, break a shield, it's a great for not getting killed over a-couple-frames-off timing.

Lol, I just found out that Ness can absorb the explosions from Bomb-ombs, Gooey Bombs, Motion Sensor Bombs, and Bombchus, and even Link and Toon Link's bombs. Mr Game & Watch can too. Also if Mr Game & Watch absorbs an explosive item, the resulting Oil Panic attack deals 60% damage and is pretty much a one hit KO.

It took you that long to realize? Ness has always been able to do that.

Ness and Lucas can absorb any projectile. Except thrown battering items and such.

Actually yeah, I just looked it up. PSI Magnet absorbing bombs is a new thing in Smash 4.
Edit: And apparently it can absorb Pac-Man's fruit too? What?

I just tested that, no it does not work on Pac-Man's fruit. Unless its a specific fruit he can absorb. I tested it on the orange (which was the only one the cpu felt like using lol).

After using Zelda for a little while, I discovered that phantom slash is not completely useless!! Using it to edge guard is really effective and kills if it's fully charged.

I'd previously thought it was a really s*** move.
