Yeeeeeaaaah this is the first thing I'm kind of ambivilent about. Just sounds kinda lame, possibly even an eyesore. Maybe there'll be an option to flick it off.

I wonder what they'll do with charged attacks like Donkey Kong's. He's got steam coming off of his head. This may also get confusing for other charged attacks that flash white. Also, in competitive play I wonder how this will effect fake outs.

Well, I doubt about fake outs and stuff, since you'll more than likely see the damage meter at the bottom of the screen.

Just pointing that out before this goes on xD

Not to mention DK's is a small thick puff from the top of his head, and the steam is larger and thin looking.

All they have to do is make the smoke puff for DK's punch larger, if its a problem.

Is Sakurai implying there's a sweet spot in there where it deals full power but you don't take damage? I always thought the recoil was just a small prince to pay for what could very possibly be a one hit KO
