Hate when people say " seek professional help" it makes them sound condescending and it makes the person feel like they are wrong. Not saying they arn't just say " Visit a physiatrist and ask for help". By saying "Professional help" it's like saying that something is soo wrong with them they need the best help available.

I know I might be wrong in some sense, but I just hate when people say that. I don't know why.

Would you rather he say "seek help, but not the highest quality help you can get because the highest quality help has more important things to worry about than your life" ?

I've been thinking about this since I was in the 5th grade. (Though since I was just a depressed 5th grader, my methods were a lot of self loathing and choking myself and you know how that went)
Really saw no point in life, so all I'm really doing is setting a few due dates and seeing which comes true.
Also I'm fairly certain any mental assessment facilities would be an out of state drive.

Dunno, most of the time I hear that quote, the person says it in an extremely jackass tone. I guess it's just the way you say it. Maybe that's why I have a negative connotation from that phrase.

there are a lot of points to life. you're young and you've barely even scratched the surface of potential things to see and do and experience. if you're in middle school or high school talk to your guidance counselor or any teacher of yours. if you care at all about the people that love you, you won't do something as fundamentally selfish as committing suicide.

not trying to sound harsh or whatever, but in all honesty how would you feel if you came home from a long shift at work and you went upstairs to greet your son and he had killed himself? you'd be traumatized for life, and constantly blaming yourself. talk to your parents, talk to people that can help you. get medication, get treatment, get better.
