Thank you! It was pretty intimidating at first but now that I've figured out how to colour pieces individually it's become a lot of fun.

I still need to figure out how to download new textures because I really want a plaid texture to play around with.

For this one I took inspiration from fellow MG artists; Reimu has lovely soft linework, often with a tint of blue to them that give the art a lovely silky smooth feel. I wanted to replicate that but with binary since I find binary pretty comfortable to work with. The approach to shading is more inspired by Ezlybored's work, whose subtle gradient-like shading I really like.

The colour pallet is more or less Araki inspired tho, but he's not an MG-goer. I presume.

Also for the first time I noticed the costume design is kinda similar to Final Fantasy/ Kingdom Hearts :0

I think earlier I went a bit more in-depth about this as well, but the character of Damian as I draw him now pretty much evolved from another character I drew when I was 13 called Taylor. That version of the character was literally just Advent Children Cloud that I saw on images on Google.

The earlier versions of Damian had a costume very much inspired by Sora. I dunno if any members really remember that s*** but he rocked the black top jacket/red pants combo that Sora also had. Similairly he also had that small jacket thing that Sora also has;


I've subsequently tried to draw the design from a more urban approach with regards to the clothes. Some of the elements from Sora were kept for the longest time such as the hoodie and the straps on the pants. Recent designs have lost these though and I've tried to keep the character more urban due to the setting losing some of its Fantasy influences.


I don't think the character will ever really lose his Square Enix streak but I don't mind.
