Literal Antonym Figurative Synonym Metaphor If something is not expressed in a metaphorical manner than one can come to a conclusion that it was meant literally. I was having a gaming sleepover thing once and we spent it over the next door neighbors house because my friend was taking care of the place while they were all gone. It was fun they had a big TV and free internet. Also they had a cool hammock. I think we were allowed.

Also a metaphor is a type of analogy. Where was the comparison he was making? What was the point he was making out of that comparison? If these questions aren't really f*** obvious then MAYBE it wasn't a metaphor.
I can't speak on behalf of them but I'm pretty sure we can assume it was neither literal nor a metaphor since, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, there is such a middle ground. I don't actually think you know what a metaphor is.

One time I was on a packed city bus sitting next to this guy who was sitting with his legs spread. My stop was coming up so I stood up and started to walk toward the end of the bus when the driver slams the breaks like a tard. It makes me fall face first into the guy's open crotch. I was like shocked so it took me a second to move but i got up and looked at him and he had such a dumb smile. And then everyone in the bus started hysterically laughing. I was so f*** embarrassed. I like squeaked a sorry and ran out of the bus lol.
Fun fact I actually met the guy at a party down the road. Small world.
