As you probably know if you live in the USA, today is the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the disaster that occurred in New York and Pennsylvania. DISCUSS

That was very rude and inconsiderate to all the people in the United States of America. Why don't you just go snuggle in your muslim hole and die?*
Back to the topic: I honestly don't remember much from that day. I remember we were all leaving early from school, which I was extremely excited about. In the car on the way home my mom tried to tell me that there was an attack, and that two important places were destroyed. I heard what she was saying, but I was too young to truly understand the affect and the scale that was going on (I was 4, mind you). It wasn't until many years later that I understood what really went down. And I believe that every year I understand more and more about what happened.
*Yes, I did that stereotype on purpose.

1.) lol whole 2.) It really wasn't. People need to get over the fact that it's 9/11 again, happens every year, we won't skip that date. People need to get over the fact that there was a terrorist attack 10 years ago, because it doesn't matter much anymore. 3.) You, however, just insulted an entire group of people, good job.

Yeah I did notice that stereotype and I was going to say something but I thought he would get warned sooner or later.
My friend's aunt took the day off on 9/11. I forgot which building she worked at, but she was lucky.

Condolences to all of the families affected by the attack, but I agree with Belth. It's in the past now.

I found it a sad event. Especially for all the children who lost their parents at an early age due to the crash. It was also amazing that so many people did an attempted rescue at risk of their own lives (and many paid it to save others). WTF is with the entire muslim racism that started from it, anyway? I'm biased on the matter though, a German exchange student that I knew sort-of well.
No one ever told you that, hmm?

That is not true. Not only was it a very sad event, but it also changed the world as we know it, with everything from the people who were directly affected, to the people that lost their jobs, to the stock market, to the realization that terrorism is not just a thing that happens in other countries, to the biasses, to the two huge (albeit unnecessary) wars; everyone in the United States, and almost everyone in the world, was affected by that day. Think of it as the Holocaust (but not nearly as sad), that happened 70 years ago, but it was so horrific that we still remember it today. As a wise man said "One who does not learn from his mistakes are doomed to repeat them." This will be something that goes into the history books for a long, long, time.

I saw a two hour long document about these two men who were about 5 floors down from where the plane hit one of the towers. These two men decided to continue up the floors, trying to find survivors. They wouldn't give up until they cleared the floors. After they finished searching, they went down the stairs, and along the way, they continued to look for people in need of rescue. They saved about 70-80 people that day.
Unfortunately, these two men died when the towers collapsed.
