Well, if no one else is going to ask it, I will.

Is this a tease to a new character? I mean, I'm just not seeing much of a reason for the secrecy right now. As far as I know, all we have are a few ATs and Pokeball Pokemon that still need to re-added/added, a couple of stages here and there, additional modes, etc.

This being said, why the puzzles? Just wondering, is all.

Exactly. Still, I don't know if it's Simon. Maybe King Dedede? Diddy Kong? Andy? Lip? Prince Sable? Saki Amemiya? Maybe even Ray from Custom Robo?

BTW, these are characters I want to see in SSF2, or the official Smash games.

First pic is definitely Link, Luigi, Pikachu, but idk who number 4 is. I think it's intentionally impossible to tell, you just gotta guess.

We got our Kid Icarus stage, Palutena's Shrine
It's kinda like Omega Palutena's Temple meets Umbra Clock Tower (But the platforms are stationary and never fall down)

there going to add the feature from brawl and melee where when someone takes knockback, goes into tumble and collide with someone it would cause them to knock into each other. this will make things interesting

I'm just hoping to see another Konami or Capcom IP yet to be revealed... The most obvious ones I can think right now are Ryu, Snake, Simon... And maybe... hardly... Zero. (Since he was in the first game...)

If i can add my two cents to this game, i have a nearly 100% accurate speculation. ive been playing this game for quite some time now since the .4 demos, and ive got to say this game has grown a lot from the start. with the addition of many characters including and not limited to luffy, black mage, samus and many others. I used to be a regular on this site and followed many discussions in the ssf2 sections. i also used to be an avid streamer and a pillar of the community when it was starting out. most of you probably havent heard of me but i am The igotnolife. the master of niayre and mikemans owner. Trained by noghrilla i come here to give you the words of our god, SmasherLink. So, without further ado i will give you my speculations. in the near future i speculate that mcleod will eat my a** and put my s*** into this game, hes going to name is punchy as his tongue punched my fart box anf tickled my willie. The second character the devs will bring to the table in the next version will be a homage to one of the past devs protonic shadow. his move set will primarily contain leaked skills from previous versions as well a c*** so tson can suck it. i hope this post was very insightful and i hope you take my speculations with a grain of salt because i might be wrong.
