I don't know about Geno's chances. Snake I'm not sure he will come back or not. Certain things point to him being a stage hazard or a boss.

I for one would love to see Geno a lot.

But what property would you consider Geno as? some would say Nintendo, Other's would say Square Enix (Because he only appeared in a Nintendo / Square Game which was primarily Nintendo with Square-related references)

Ever played Mario&Luigi Superstar Saga? Geno had a tiny cameo in that game, and the game clearly stated the that the character was property of Square Enix. Geno is a Square Enix character, which some consider is the reason why he has never showed up again in any other game. He wasn't even in the Square Enix developed Mario Sport titles (which did feature Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy characters).

He's also not a very good character and the majority of support for him to be in Brawl was from people who have never even played Super Mario RPG and just wanted him to be in because other people did

I think I've already stated my opinion on Ridley and Snake, both I support, but I do believe Ridley has a abysmal chance at this point. I didn't know about Geno being Square's property, but my opinion on him is the same as always. I know nothing about the character and his design isn't all too interesting, but I'd be okay with him being in as long as he was interesting and/or unique. That said, if he's owned by Square, I don't see much chance of him getting an invitation.
