hey have you ever thought about making comics for a living?

they'd do really well.

I actually have. I draw a lot and I do make comics, but I don't make money off of them. And thanks! :)

Dude, I'll bet if you sent this to Nintendo they'd make a movie about it.

lol. Well, Nintendo doesn't really take submissions. Plus, the project it really early in production. But thanks! :D

Now, I'm just trying to figure out which characters to put in episode 3, which will be kind of a "Meanwhile..." episode. Any suggestions?

Great! You'll be sure to see him in the next one.

And guys, I just thought of something. Wouldn't it be kinda cool if this was a flash series?

I would, but I don't have Flash. XP. And it's probably simpler as a comic. Just a thought.

I think that'd be cool, but I'd still keep making them as comics.

Like, I'd make a flash it it were an important scene or something like that.

Yeah, that might work.

It's mediocre at best. Most of the boxes are nothing going on, with the characters standing there. So far I can't see any personality in the characters. Hopefully it picks up...

That's referring to the second comic. The first comic was a good opener, aside from the "Let's dance" line which I thought was stupid.

(Thanks for the criticism, I needed some. Like, a lot.) Yeah, it'll pick up. By the fifth episode, you'll see full improvement. (Progressing from episode 3)

The thing about sprite comics is that it's very difficult to start. For the first handful of strips, it's common for too many one-dimensional characters to show up and spoil the series before it really has the chance to take off.

Right away, I can see a few problems with the comics, but that's to be expected from someone who's just starting out. The font size is a bit too narrow, and some of the sprites aren't enlarged properly (hint: if you're using paint, use stretch and increase to 200%). If you have some skill, it's possible to avert the sprite enlargement problem by re-spriting the character with normal-sized pixels. This would also have the effect of making close-ups less jarring. Make sure to devote some strips to character development instead of going right from one battle to the next, because people need to have an opportunity to catch a breather and the characters need to appear less flat. One final thing: make sure to never EVER use l33tsp34k, nor use more than two exclamation points.

It looks pretty good so far. Let's hope your comic doesn't descend into the perfect example of a bad sprite comic.

Thanks for the tips. And, frankly, l33tspe34k annoys the living h*ll out of me. :P
