On that note, why do you need to modify your registry Snoble?

My computer hardware isn't up to scratch. Things put themselves into my registry without asking, last time I checked the "run" value folder there was a half ton in there, and I've been told by technicians to remove them. Their just to busy to visit my house >_<.

So, I just need to know if there's any values in that general area that are crucial.

Directory is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Run.

I don't know what to search *for*. I searched for "Registry cleanup" but just got a bunch of downloadable tools that said they cleaned out dead values.

Any suggestions on what to google?

Something with "important", "vista" and "registry entries" in the search bar.

Just more clean-up tools.
I think I'll just wait for the technician to come and fix it.
Thanks for helping anyways.

You're welcome, sorry I couldn't help much though. I hate Vista with a passion.

Vista isn't suited for a gaming rig, that's the only reason for me really.
