just finished making a custom application auto updater thingy for updating any applications i make. it works like a charm

nerd s*** aside, i'm gonna go eat, take a shower, then watch anime for a while since i haven't in days
i still haven't gotten my car yet and i'm worried about being able to get to apex
tomorrow i have to go and TRY to set up an interview for a job i applied for and a few other chores that require me to drive around frantically

i forgot to b**** yesterday so i'll b**** today

on tuesdays at work, there are two people working from 4-8. frankly, we don't need more; tuesdays are generally dead because on wednesdays we have 5 cents off and everyone is holding off.

we have twelve pumps. eight of them are operated by employees, four are self serve. if every single pump is represented by a < or >, then the setup looks like this:

store | <> <> <> (ordered 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11)
here | <> <> <> (ordered 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12)
(setup isn't really important, just to give a better mental image)

generally, when people are working at the pumps, they take turns operating them depending on how many cars pull up. let's say i'm working with someone and one car pulls up, i'll go and help that car. if another one pulls up, i may help that one too since two is not difficult to handle and the next time two cars pull up, the other guy will get them. to give a better idea:

car pulls up to pump 1, first employee gets it.
car pulls up to pump 3, first employee gets that one too
car pulls up to pump 2, second employee gets that one
car pulls up to pump 4, either first or second employee gets that one depending on the timing it pulls in.

so in the end, if the pumps were completely filled, both employees will probably have 4 cars. if not, one has 5 and the other has 3, no biggie


however. the guy i was working with? probably the laziest person i've ever worked with.

he might as well have been on break the entire time. at one point, six cars were pulled in (i was only helping 5 since one was getting it themselves, some people like to pull up to full service and do it themselves for multiple reasons. regardless, it looked like i was helping six) and he didn't come out until a seventh one pulled in.

later on, i was helping six and something f*** up with a receipt so i had to run in and ask him to print one. he printed it and went back to watching TV.

while, yes, eventually, he did get a few cars, it wasn't anything big. i much less needed his help then, and if i had to choose, i'd rather him help me out when there are SIX CARS outside as opposed to TWO OR THREE

eventually, there were two cars pulled in and each of us was helping one. a third one pulled in and he was walking over to it, groaning about how busy it is. haha yeah eat s***

i didn't argue with him about it because i don't like arguing at work, especially with a guy i'm working with my entire shift. i did bring it up with my manager and he's being reported to the boss now. it's fine with me, he's notorious for being a terrible employee because he's lazy and even occasionally steals other people's tips so


hopefully the work day today is better.

the idea of a gas station where the employees fill you up is completely alien to me

i went to a small party two nights ago which celebrated apex, we called it Gaypex lmao
there was probably 10-15 people there, we were too lazy to make an actual bracket so what we did is the person who loses gives up the controller
first round goes, it's two other people
second one goes, then it's me and the winner, i won
then i won the next match
and the next match
aaaand the next match

i never gave up the controller for the whole night, haha. i did sit out of some matches because other people wanted to finally 1v1 but i won every 1v1 we played, plus a good chunk of FFAs
