3D Land/World is another category. You don't collect hundreds of moons, stars, shines or anything in open worlds. You just get to the goal and grab a few hidden things that aren't needed to progress to the next level along the way. I would like another sunshine though. Maybe Luigi in Sarasaland?

Mario Maker 2 looks pretty neat so far. A lot of the new stuff they showed off actually looks like it belongs in the Mario world, as opposed to the original Mario Maker's tendency to be wacky for the sake of being wacky.

Also kind of odd that Toad is still blue. Why not have a playable red capped blue jacket Toad?

Reporting some of the last news here, apparently, according to some sources like Gematsu, Nintendo would be planning a remaster of all 3D Super Mario games for the series' 35th anniversary. Sounds way too ambitious to be truth and I'm still dubious. What do you think?

Spyro got remastered by some team nobody's heard of and those games are way bigger than the Mario ones. Nintendo would have full access to the old assets (probably) and the Galaxy stuff wouldn't even need to be altered that much so it's more than reasonable

I'm excited for it but I'm annoyed all the rumors seem to have left out Galaxy 2 exclusively?? Even 3D World is supposed to get a deluxe rerelease but Galaxy 2 is out in the cold

if it's some sort of all-stars like compilation release then leaving out galaxy 2 is more probable (but still s***)

if they put them out individually and don't do galaxy 2 then they can f*** off

They could also go a different route by combining Galaxy 1 and 2 into one game or something, idk.

I just want more Mario and Luigi again. AlphaDream died too soon. We didn't even get a PiT remake.

They were bad enough that I did enormous long form reviews for them here on this very website

I honestly didn't trust them enough to play the remakes

Dream Team was good, just had too .many tutorials.
paper Ham sucked.
The SS remake was amazing, and the BIS remake was inferior to the original in every way.

idk why they got worse, but it wasn't because someone walked in and told them that actually nobody cares about the story or characters in an RPG

everything to do with luigi in dream team is more interesting than all of sticker star

this is a fair point but at the end of the day both of them descended into textbook soulless

the thing is that the luigi/dream world stuff is a light year ahead of even Paper Jam. That game was so f***' soulless it hurts. Not a single original enemy or area design, just a ton of paper toads everywhere. Same s***, different series

mario plus rabbids is somehow the best mario rpg in over a decade lmao
